Yellow River Game Ranch

A little over a week ago while Daddy was here, we went to the Yellow River Game Ranch to see the animals. As soon as we walked out, Bambi decided to come say "hi!"

Bambi also decided to kiss me and I did NOT like it. This is my post-Bambi kiss face.

Saturday Daddy and I took a nap together.

7 months old!

I'm seven months old today! I was very excited to see the poochy in the corner.

Sometimes I lick my lips.

The ceiling fan was very interesting.

-I have brown eyes and brown hair (not much of it!). I am a little over 16 pounds and a little over 26 inches. I have two teeth. My first one came through July 21st and my second one finally popped through August 21st. I am at the end of my 3-6 months clothes phase and fit into some 12-month clothes depending on the brand (so mostly I wear 6-9 months).
-I like to eat applesauce, pears, or apples&blueberries for breakfast and peas, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, or carrots for dinner (each one mixed with baby cereal). All other times I get formula (Mommy got too stressed out and her milk dried up, so I haven't had breastmilk in almost two months) and sometimes Mommy's nice and gives me some juice (I like apple, apple-prune, and apple-carrot). I LOVE to drink water out of a cup. I do pretty well with a sippy cup (I can get it to my mouth, but usually don't tip it) and if you let me drink out of your cup, I lap it like a dog. I LOVE Gerber puffs and a couple weeks ago mastered getting them into my mouth all by myself.
-I love to be sung to, especially songs where you make me do hand motions (my favorite used to be "If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands," but since there was a time that singing it became the only way to make me stop crying, I don't like it as much anymore, but it is still fun to clap my hands!). I like to be sung quiet songs while I am rocked to sleep. I have a favorite blankey that Mommy made for me years before I was born and I hug it like a teddy bear when I am in bed. I fall asleep best being rocked with my blankey or in my carseat in the car (but I only fall asleep in the car if I'm tired, otherwise I talk to myself or yell at you).
-I am going through a clingy I-only-want-Mommy phase, but I tolerate other people. I love to crawl all over the place (unless Mommy's around, then most of the time I just want her to hold me), I'm really good at moving my walker, and I pull myself to a stand on anything and everything available. I HATE having my face washed after I eat, but I don't mind it at all if I'm in the tub (aka, kitchen sink). I like my toys but I prefer cellphones and remote controls and anything new and interesting to explore. I rarely sit still for the camera, so Mommy couldn't get any decent ones today, but here's a good picture Daddy managed to snap while he was here last Friday!

My shirt says "Nobody puts Baby in the Corner." If you know what that's from, you win! Mommy got it for my cousin, Isla, and Aunt Becca gave it back to me since Isla's way too big for it now.

Happy Seven Months Old to Me!

Look at me go!

This was on August 17th

I can stand!

I pulled myself up in my crib all by myself. Mommy put me in here for a few minutes while she cleaned my room (if I'm sleeping, I wear clothes!). I pul myself up on everything- the couches, the chairs, my toys, laundry baskets (my personal favorite), people's legs... I'm such a smarty pants. This was August 16th.

Me and Caroline!

These are pictures from Maine of me and my second cousin, Caroline. She is five months and one day older than me and we love each other!

Mommy had to adjust this one because it was so bright (she says she didn't do a very good job and has crappy photo editing software, whatever that means)

Marma's side of the family

Here I am with my Great-great auntie Jo. She's Marma's older sister. Their brother, Malcolm, and his wife, Glen, were unable to make it to the Sunday afternoon feast (July 19th). Robyn made this cute onesie for me!
Uncle Ricky said we have matching heads.

Some of us went down to the beach after dinner. I did NOT like having my feet in the sand (maybe if it was warmer?)

Grandma's cousins, Sarah and David, Auntie Jo, Marma, Grandma Kimmy, Auntie Kerry, and Auntie Heather

Mommy with me, her cousins Courtney and Nikole (we all call her Niki), Auntie Cait, and Mommy's cousin, David with his niece, Caroline. In the front are Sarah's boys, Tristan and Jonah, who are Mommy's second cousins.

The Gardner Clan!

The day we checked into the cabin by Sebago Lake, Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Cait, Mommy, and I went to a seafood restaurant so Grandma and Grandpa could get fresh Maine seafood- yuck! Well, I wouldn't know because I've never had meat, but Mommy says if I like seafood, that's fine, but she's not making it for me!
The next day was Sunday (July 19th) and we all went to Church at Barn and Marma's ward, then we took pictures outside. We're all kinda squinty 'cause the sun was bright, and sometimes we (well, everyone else, I don't have much hair) had crazy hair because it was a little windy. Here's Leda, David, Cameron holding Caroline, Courtney (hanging onto Jackson), Heather, Barn and Marma, Mommy with me, Grandpa Ken, Grandma Kimmy, Auntie Caitlin, Kerry, Nikole, and Ricky. Missing from the Gardner clan pictures are Daddy and Bubba (Bubba's on a mission in Utah).

Barn and Marma with their three girls!

Barn and Marma with their three great-grandkids!

A four generation picture. Heather is Marma's youngest, then she has Courtney (who is Marma's oldest granddaughter), and Courtney has Caroline!

Our four generation picture! Grandma Kimmy is Marma's oldest.

The men!

And last but not least, Caroline's butt!

More Massachussetts

Here's another 4 generation picture- Great Grandma Ruth, Grandpa Ken, Mommy, and me!
And here I am with Mommy, my Auntie Cait, and all my Regan great-Aunties- Deb, Sandi, and Barb!

This is Mommy's second-cousin, Dae. He liked holding me (and kept calling me "him"- "can I hold him?" but that's okay. I like him, anyway!)
And this is Dae's sister, Molly. She liked me, too!

And here I am with my Great-Great Aunt Mary. She married Great-Grandpa Henry's brother, Leo. And Dae was close by, of course.
And we wanted to hold me again!
I got lots of love from the Regan side of the family! I love them lots and was glad to meet them finally!

More from our trip- finally!

This is how I help Mommy pack:
When we got to Barn and Marma's house, I tried to eat Barn's foot:
And tried my pre-crawling up-on-my-toes move:

The next day (Friday, July 17th), Mommy, Grandpa, Grandma, Auntie Cait, and I went down to Massachussetts to see the Regan side of the family. I practiced my moves at Great-Grandpa Henry's house, too:
I was so happy to be there!

Here we are- 4 generations of Irish-blooded Regans! Great Grandpa Henry is 100% Irish- both his parents were born in Ireland. Then Grandpa Ken is 3/4's: Great Grandma Ruth's mom was born in Ireland, too, then Mommy is 3/8th's and I'm 3/16th's!

Grandpa's making a funny face in this picture, but you can ignore it and just look at how cute I am! :)
And this is my serious face:

Uncle Sean

On Sunday, July 26th (one month after what would have been Uncle Sean's 29th birthday), I had my first trip to visit where my Uncle Sean is buried. I'm wearing my sweater from my great-grandma Marma (the headstone next to Uncle Sean's- which is also for Grandma and Grandpa- is for her and great grandpa Barn). It was chilly that day! [pictures are blurry because they were taken by Grandpa's phone- Mommy forgot her camera.]
